Vancouver Dates, Banff and Current Listening

by jamesmeger

Vancouver Dates, Banff and Current Listening

Hello folks, it’s been a while. Braveheart is currently in residence at the Banff Centre for the next 9 days, holy…wow….jeeze…amazing…anything could happen. I spent the morning watching the fresh snow fall out of bay windows in the dining hall, not exactly productive, but I can hear Ted playing long tones and Omar working on triplets around the kit as I write this now so, there will be progress. After they give us the boot we’ll be heading back to warm old Vancouver to play a couple of nice shows. We’re at MERGE on March 13th and at TANGENT CAFE on March 16th, many more details at our gigs section. For whoever is out there reading, we’d love to see you while we run around Vancouver. Also, a listening list! Omar and I had 13 hours in the car getting here…We got down to it.

Henry Threadgill – Rag, Bush and All

Bill Hart Quartet – All our Reasons

Keith Jarrett Quartet – Silence

Iverson/Mchenry/Anderson/Williams – Live @ Smalls

Miles Davis – Ascenseur pour l’echafaud (Soundtrack)

Human Feel – Scatter

Tim Berne – The Shell Game

Ingrid Laubrock – Anti-House

Bon Iver – Bon Iver

Arcade Fire – The Suburbs

Radiohead – Pablo Honey

Sten Sendell Trio + John Butcher – Strokes

Paul Motian, trio 2000 + 2 – Live at the Village Vanguard vol.1

there was more, but I’m blanking…Cheers!
